Meghan Markle broke royal protocol in Ireland by expressing views on abortion referendum



The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle went against the grain by privately commending Ireland's unanimous decision to legalize abortion.

Newly-minted Royal Meghan Markle was in Ireland earlier this week with her husband, Prince Harry, when she was allegedly roped into conversations about the recent referendum at a private garden party.
While members of the Royal Family generally steer away from publicly expressing their political views, Markle reportedly declared her agreement with legalizing abortion in Ireland.


Her opinion came to light when Senator Catherine Noone, an avid pro-choice campaigner, took to Twitter to tease details of her conversation with Markle.
It was public knowledge that the Duchess of Sussex had spoken with activists during her official Royal visit, but Senator Noone's social media update managed to cause quite a stir.
Some users fired back, “You may have landed her in hot water there”, while others claimed that such a remark would be a “major faux pas on Meghan’s part”.

Boeing 737: Australia joins Singapore in barring Max planes

The decision comes after  an Ethiopian Airlines Boeing Max 8 crashed on Sunday, killing 157 people on board . It was the second fatal accident involving that model in less than five months. Singapore's Changi Airport is the world's sixth busiest and a major hub connecting Asia to Europe and the US. But only a handful of airlines operate Max aircraft in and out of the country. No Australian airlines operate the Boeing 737 Max, and only two foreign airlines - SilkAir and Fiji Airways - fly the model into the country. Google diversity head removed over anti-Semitic blog post

  Google has removed its head of diversity over a 2007 blog post that said Jewish people had "an insatiable appetite for war and killing". In a post about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that resurfaced this week, Kamau Bobb also claimed Jewish people had an "insensitivity" to suffering. The post has now been deleted. On Thursday, a spokesperson for Google told the BBC that Mr Bobb would "no longer be part of our diversity team going forward". Suffolk Coastal District Council will investigate the pond on Ed Sheeran's estate Ed Sheeran's Suffolk estate will be inspected by council officials to make sure his pond is there for wildlife and not "a wild lifestyle". Some neighbours had been worried the pond would be used for swimming and watersports, which are against planning permission. Suffolk Coastal District Council is to investigate to make sure the rules are being followed. Other neighbours said they had "no problem with Ed Sheeran whatsoever". The wildlife pond, featuring a jetty, steps and sheds, was installed after being granted planning permission in January 2017.
